Grading

Proper grading is a significant part to a person's new or existing front or backyard. The grade of the yard should slope away from the building so water drains away from the foundation. The grade should slope away from the structure, at one to four foot drop for every hundred feet.

Draining swales may be needed for steep slopes and homes built around hillsides.

Sometimes walls or ground cowers may be needed to be installed depending on the area for those difficult steep slopes.

When all grading is achieved, the topsoil can be spread on the area.

Blaha Excavating can complete the job from start to finish. Should the customer want the grass planted after the grading process, we can do that also.
